When Gregg Zegarelli, Esq. opened the firm in 1990 at the age of 28, in Downtown Pittsburgh, everyone had more money and experience. When he named the firm, “Technology & Entrepreneurial Ventures,” judges didn’t know what to make of it. It was all too new. The firm was the first in the region to advertise “computer law” in the “Yellow Pages” and had to use credit cards to make startup payroll. There’s a difference between academic talk and walking the walk, and there’s no replacement for true grit.
